FIRST CLASSEXECUTIVE SECURITY

Colchester: Britain’s oldest recorded town, with a garrison in it.

Colchester carries Roman walls, a Norman castle, a long-established garrison and a university — a genuinely old town with a young, busy centre. Beyond it, north Essex turns to Constable country: the Stour valley villages, Dedham and Nayland, converted farmhouses and country properties on private lanes, where the money is quiet, rural and generally keen to remain so.

So our Colchester work is largely residential: protective surveys for the Stour-valley and village houses, where seclusion and a long approach are the design and the vulnerability, alongside secure driving across north Essex and discreet close protection for private occasions. We plan for a rural county — response time is a function of who is genuinely nearby.

An illustrative scenario

The kind of property the Stour valley produces: a converted farmhouse whose privacy was the reason it was chosen and, until surveyed, the reason it was easy to watch.

Local context — the Colchester area

The panel reflects a busy town centre with a student and garrison population; the valley villages where our residential work sits read quieter. The exposure worth planning for is the private approach, not the ambient figure.

These are anonymised, approximate map-point figures for roughly a one-mile radius — never a specific street, property or person — for the most recent month published. “Violence” is the Home Office “violence and sexual offences” category — a broad measure spanning harassment and common assault through to serious violence, much of it domestic or inside licensed premises. It is not a measure of targeted risk to a protected client.
