Licensing
Close protection is a licensed activity in the United Kingdom under the Private Security Industry Act 2001. Every officer we deploy holds a current SIA Close Protection licence. Ask us for the 16-digit licence number of each officer proposed for your detail, and check it on the SIA’s register of licence holders. Every current licence holder appears on the register; a number that returns no result is not a current licence.
Vetting
Our operatives are screened to BS 7858, the British Standard code of practice for screening people who work in a secure environment: employment history, residency, financial and criminal record checks.
Operating practice
Our operations are aligned to BS 8507-1, the British Standard code of practice for close protection services within the United Kingdom. The code is written for providers, and it can also be used by those buying close protection.
