FIRST CLASSEXECUTIVE SECURITY

Barnsley: a market town on the edge of open country.

Barnsley is a south-Yorkshire market town with a long industrial memory and a regenerated centre around the market and the Glass Works — the M1 through it, Sheffield and Leeds each half an hour away. The money sits west of the town, in the Pennine-edge villages toward Cawthorne and Silkstone and the country estates around them, where large houses on private grounds sit close to open moorland.

So our Barnsley work is largely residential and vehicular: protective surveys for the estate and village houses where private grounds and a long approach are the design, secure driving between the town and the cities either side, and discreet close protection for private and county occasions. We are Midlands-based and close enough to hold honest response times across south Yorkshire.

An illustrative scenario

The kind of property the Pennine edge produces: a house in private grounds whose seclusion looked like security until the approach was walked properly.

Local context — the Barnsley area

The panel reflects the town centre; the Pennine-edge villages where our residential work sits read quieter. The exposure worth planning for is the private approach, not the ambient centre figure.

These are anonymised, approximate map-point figures for roughly a one-mile radius — never a specific street, property or person — for the most recent month published. “Violence” is the Home Office “violence and sexual offences” category — a broad measure spanning harassment and common assault through to serious violence, much of it domestic or inside licensed premises. It is not a measure of targeted risk to a protected client.
