Chesterfield: a crooked spire, and the Peak District at the door.
Chesterfield is a market town best known for the twisted spire of its parish church — a busy centre, a long-running open market, and the M1 alongside — sitting right on the eastern edge of the Peak District. The wealth is in the villages that climb toward the moors, in the Derbyshire country houses and converted farms where open country begins at the end of the garden and the nearest town is a long way down the hill.
So our Chesterfield work is largely residential: protective surveys for the Peak-edge houses, where an open aspect and a remote approach are both the appeal and the weakness, alongside secure driving across the county and close protection for private occasions. We plan for rural distance and for weather — on the moor edge, both change the picture.
