Highgate: a village on a hill, screened by its own trees.

Highgate sits high and green — the village at the top, the woods and Hampstead Heath spilling down one side, and large, expensive houses set behind mature gardens on steep, narrow streets. The wealth is settled and private, the kind that chose the hill precisely for its seclusion, and the geography that gives the district its calm — trees, walls, long approaches — is also what a survey has to reckon with.

So our Highgate work is largely residential: protective surveys for the screened houses and their gardens, close protection woven around family life and school runs, and secure driving that treats the hill’s steep, narrow, one-way streets as the local knowledge they demand. The register is quiet — on a hill this private, the wrong kind of visible presence is the thing that draws attention.
